SEACROFT BENEFITS from
a SIX MILLION POUND REFURBISHMENT PROGRAMME
At this September’s festival we unveiled exciting new details on a major new refurbishment programme for our musical village at Seacroft (Hemsby, Norfolk), due to take place this Winter.
Instead of continuing to try and improve some of the older chalets, they have elected to invest large sums in redeveloping the whole centre replacing the old chalets with fabulous, brand new, detached caravan accommodation. They really are very nice indeed offering lots of space and great facilities - ensuring you will enjoy top quality accommodation during your stay. The Premier Suites will also be upgraded to include a new sitting area and kitchen.
The move from the old theatre to the new Harlequin has proved very popular and for 2018 this area will have further improvements and enhancements. The restaurant will also be moving to a new area and as a consequence we have decided to go half board for next year (Breakfast and Evening Meal), but with the same tasty popular selection of meals that Cavalcadian’s love.
In view of the huge investment the centre wanted to put prices up, but we have managed to negotiate a reduction, in order to offer the best possible value.
The dates have moved slightly but we have reconfirmed our fabulous all-star cast and they will all be with us as expected. Dates are – 20th-27th April 2018 and 10th-17th September 2018. 7 nights of Musical Magic from an all-star cast.

Keyboard Cavalcade’s top music festivals have been enjoyed by thousands of organ and keyboard enthusiasts over the past 27 years. It all started back in 1985 at the Haven centre at Caister-on-Sea. After many happy years at Caister new owners changed the venue into a caravan park, so we marched down the coast together to Pontins at Pakefield in 2006. We have enjoyed six successful years at Pakefield, but the new owners of the Pontin's Pakefield will be making further changes next year, which means we may not have use of all the many exhibition areas and seminar rooms that we currently enjoy. So we felt it was the right time to find a new home for the UK’s largest organ festival. For the past three years we have been using the Seacroft holiday village, near our original home at Caister, to hold an accordion event. The positive feedback we received from the accordion enthusiast’s, and the warm welcome the centre gave us has made us decide that this is the ideal new home for Cavalcadians.
Seacroft Holiday village is owned by Richardson’s, who are a local friendly family firm, they are keen to attract Cavalcadians to their adult “over 50’s only” centre. Ironically Seacroft was the site of the very first East Coast organ festival, held by Pontins in 1983. Richardson’s purchased the catered side of the centre in March 1998 and this site has been the subject of an ongoing schedule of refurbishment. Located near the beach in Hembsy, the surrounding area is like stepping back in time to how seaside resorts used to be. Within a few steps of the holiday village is a range of traditional seaside outlets, arcades, rock shops and the lovely sand dunes of the beach, it really is a trip down memory lane.
The centre has a large range of different accommodation types to choose from, so you can choose anything from a comfortable traditional style standard chalet through to a rather posh Premier room or apartment. All the main venues are under one roof and we have plenty of separate rooms for our many exhibitions and seminars. A few steps outside will take you to main theatre, which is ideal for our needs, so everywhere is closer together and more conveniently placed when compared to Pakefield. The main restaurant is also more upmarket than Pakefield and not only is the food better, you can also have the option of full table service at the same price, although self service was requested by most Cavalcadian’s at the last forum. Further good news is that the price is also cheaper, great news in these credit-crunched times. So the best value festivals available will be even better value in 2013.
